Welcome to Lakewood Cougar Elite Cheer Program!
Lakewood Cougar Elite Youth Cheerleaders are excited to represent the Lakewood Youth Football teams during the Fall Football season. We attend the all Youth Football Games (Home & Away) from August to November. Our Cheer season finale will be mid-November when we attend the NCYFL Cheer Showcase. This fun event will bring together all the cheer programs in the NCYFL for a fun day of showing off their hard-earned skills. We hope to cheer with you soon!
Our youth cheerleading program is open to children in our community ages 6 to 14 years old. League age is determined by cheerleaders age on 6/1 of the current year. We focus on learning the basic skills of cheerleading and the cheers of the Lakewood High School Cheer program.

March 1, 2025 - Cheer Registration OPENS
May 31, 2025 - Cheer Registration will CLOSE @ 11:59pm.
Late Registrations MAY NOT be accepted due to our uniform order deadlines. Check with our cheer manger at LYFAACougarEliteCheer@gmail.com to request a late registration.
June 5, 2025 - Cheer Uniform Fitting #1

Here's some of the most Frequently Asked Questions about our Cheer Season:
Do annual Registration Fees cover Cheer Uniform costs?
No. Registration fees cover our annual expenses and showcase fees. Uniform costs are separate and will vary depending how much of the uniform you need to order.
Do you offer fundraisers for Cheer Uniform costs?
Yes, we do! Our Cheer Leadership Team is excited to offer registered cheerleaders with uniform fundraising opportunities(s) again in our 2024 Season. PRO TIP: Sign up early to fundraise as long as possible. Many of our cheerleaders are able to fundraise 100% of their uniform costs IF they start early & work hard.
Do you offer Scholarships / Financial Assistance?
Yes, we do! LYFAA is excited to offer a limited number of scholarships to help with Cheerleader Registration fees 2024 season. Scholarships may only be applied to Cheer Registration Fees. Request a Scholarship Application by sending an email to LYFAAPresident@gmail.com.
Where & When is Cheer Practice?
Cheer Practices are held on Lakewood School District Properties. We begin to Practice late July OR early August, and usually practice 2-3 days week for 90 minutes. Practice times & locations will be provided to registered cheerleaders at the start of the season.
Where are Games?
Sideline Cheer season begins late August and will continue into early November depending upon our Post Season game opportunities. Youth Football games are on Saturday's. Our Home Games are at Lakewood High School Stadium. Away games are in Snohomish, Island, Skagit & Whatcom Counties.
